This morning we woke up to find that we were going to be
late arriving in Houston. Seems the ship
was stopped because of fog. We arrived 2
hours late and then the fun began.
We tried to order room service only to be informed that we
could not this time. So I went up to the
food court and picked up some tea and pastries and brought them back to the
cabin. We were again supposed to meet in
the Wheel House bar for our walk off at 10:20.
We showed up and the officer did not know what to do with us. Told us to check with the front desk, but
since we had been through this before we went to the library and played some
gin. About an hour later we returned to
the bar and found a seat and waited to walk off and back on. We met some other seasoned travelers and they
all were commenting on how this was the worst cruise they had ever been
on. We finally walked off and cleared
customs and then back on the ship.
Returning to our cabin we decided to go down to the dinning
room for lunch. It was good but we found
out that it was going to close at 1:30 PM.
We really felt sorry for the people boarding because they did not start letting
them on until 1:00 PM. This is just one
of the mismanagement we have encountered this cruise.
Returning to our cabin we read relaxed while the new
passengers boarded. We were suppose to
depart a 4:00 PM, but got an announcement that we would be leaving at 6:00 AM
tomorrow. Seems the wind is too high for
us to navigate the channel back to the Gulf of Mexico.
We tired to order room service, but gave up after being on
hold for 25 minutes. We went up to the
cafeteria and picked up some soup and salad.
Watched some TV and then to bed.
The weather is cold and cloudy tonight, hope it is better tomorrow.
