This morning started off very nice with breakfast in our
cabin. The day went down hill from
there. Who ever was in charge of docking
was having problems. We were within 2
feet of the dock for almost 2 hours. We
all were required to exit the ship and then reboard. This is a usual procedure at all ports were a
cruise ends. Those passengers staying on
get off, they check that everyone is off and then re-board the thru passengers. We showed up at the appointed area to do this
maneuver, and the officer in charge did not know what to do with us as the
passengers getting off were running 2 hours late. When we did get off we found out that we had
to fill out custom cards. Thought it was
funny since we had just left Ft. Lauderdale.
We finally got back on, had lunch then watched a movie on
the big screen. We left Huston 2 hours
late in a cool light rain.
We are headed to Mexico and warm weather and it is going to
be a great cruise in spite of the crazy start.
